Connecting Food Growing Across Inverclyde

Connecting Inverclyde’s Food Growing Community is a partnership project funded by the Climate Challenge Fund between Belville Community Garden, Parklea Branching Out and REACH for Autism (hypertext a link to these websites). Our project aims to cut food production carbon emissions alongside encouraging people with learning disabilities to learn new skills, grow their own food, gain in confidence, developing networks and relationships across their local community. It will be a source of free produce, reducing food miles, collecting and composting food waste, eliminating processing and packaging, and cutting energy costs by keeping distribution local and within a reasonable walking distance.
